Bell HP7 Evo-IV Carbon Duckbill FIA8860 — Open-Wheel Racing Helmet

Same helmet as the HP7 Evo-IV with the addition of an integrated front duckbill chin spoiler. FIA8860-2018 certified. The duckbill generates additional aerodynamic downforce on the front of the helmet and reduces lift at speed — particularly beneficial in open-wheel formula environments. Everything else is identical to the standard Evo-IV.

What's different from the standard HP7 Evo-IV:

• Integrated duckbill chin spoiler — front chin gurney for aerodynamic downforce and stability at high speeds in open-cockpit environments

All other specifications, shell, visor, ventilation, liner, and hardware are identical to the HP7 Evo-IV standard version.

Is the duckbill removable?
No — the duckbill is integrated into the shell. Choose standard or duckbill at purchase based on your application.

Does the duckbill actually make a difference?
At open-wheel and formula speeds, yes. It generates downforce on the front of the helmet, reducing aerodynamic lift and improving stability at high speeds. For closed-cockpit use where the helmet is inside bodywork, it's irrelevant.
