Sparco Skid Racing Shoes — FIA 8856-2000. The shoe that did away with the tongue.

The Skid was the first Sparco shoe to feature an offset closure system that eliminates the traditional tongue entirely. By offsetting the closure, the usual lace pressure point is moved toward the side of the shoe, for unmatched comfort without sacrificing fit. A stretch collar at the back of the ankle improves foot dexterity, and an ergonomically cushioned inner sole adds further comfort. The sole is constructed from pure rubber with a special texture for improved pedal grip, in bold contrasting colorways.
